he Story of the movie Azaan is written by Prashant Chadha, Shubra Swarup and Heeraz Marfatia. Shubra Swarup has done the Screenplay for it. The Music of Azaan is scored by Salim Merchant – Sulaiman Merchant duo. Lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Irfan Siddique and Shraddha Pandit. Axel Fischer BVK has done the Cinematography. Editing is by Amitabh Shukla and Humphrey Dixon.

Azaan is being touted as one of the costliest movie in the Indian film industry. It is readied with a whopping Production cost of about 180 crore (US$40.14 million).

The movie Azaan features two debutants in the form of lead roles. Sachiin J Joshi, playing the role of Azaan Khan is an Entrepreneur turned Hero. Candice Boucher is leading Model turned Actress from South Africa. She has featured in leading International magazines like FHM, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Sports Illustrated, Elle and was featured on the cover of the April 2010 issue of Playboy magazine.

Azaan is basically an Espionage movie. Azaan Khan (Sachiin J Joshi) is playing the role of a Spy (informant). He does spying in order to know about his brother’s whereabouts and to save the country from the dangers of Biological warfare. According to the movie, Azaan Khan is half Afghan and half Indian. Azaan is actually a young Army Officer. He works for RAW (India's Research and Analysis Wing).
