
The notification in this regard was issued on Thursday after approval by PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Dr Babar Awan was made a member of the Central Executive Committee of the party in 1997 by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Later he was also nominated as coordinator of international affairs wing of the party in 1999.
He served as secretary of the Party Central Finance in 2000, when he received the ticket of the National Assembly in general elections 2002. He became a senator in 2005 on the only seat of the PPP in Punjab.
Being a lawyer, he defended several cases against Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari. It also remained council PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto in the case of the Foundation of the people.
Babar Awan Senator Dr is considered a popular leader and trust in PPP who voluntarily resigned from the portfolios of Minister of Law and Justice, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Information Technology to plead ZA Bhutto reference sent to the Supreme Court by President Asif Ali Zardari.
