Bangkok reminded me of Kerala" - Asin

Postby nahia on Fri Mar 25, 2011 5:30 am

The perky pretty Asin is just back in Mumbai after a lengthy spell of shooting in Bangkok for Ready.

She's happy to be back home after so long. But she never missed Mumbai in Bangkok.

"Not that I was allowed to miss home. Salman and the crew were so much fun. But more than that the topography in Bangkok where we were shooting resembled my native place Kerala so much. In fact, the greenery that I carry with me wherever I go was manifested in both the long outdoors for Ready. First, Sri Lanka and then Bangkok were like taking my home to the shooting."

In fact Asin felt so much at home in Bangkok that her Blackberry status-message described the greenery and the scenery with the pride of ownership.

Laughs Asin, "My friends who read it thought I was in Kerala. That's how much at home I felt in Bangkok."

Making Asin feel even more at home was Salman who made sure she was well looked after in her parents' absence. Salman looked out for Asin throughout the long schedule in Bangkok.

Sighs Asin, "I think it was the ambience. We were working like one big family. I had gone without my parents. But I didn't feel lonely for even a second."
