My shelf is full of books. Actually, I have two book shelves: one with books I have read, and the other with books I have not read. Last week, I went for book shopping and bought A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, American Star by Jackie Collins, and Love in a Torn Land by Jean Sasson.
Soft corner for romance
I am an avid reader of romantic novels since childhood. I have grown up while reading Mills and Boons. Recently, I loved reading Love Story by Erich Segal, and there are so many more.
Influential characters
I am in love with Jean Sasson's books. I love reading them and imagining myself in the shoes of her strong female characters. Her books are about Saudi women, and their life behind those veils. I really want to play those characters in cinema. I would love to play Princess Sultana, the heroine from Princess. With my dark skin and large eyes, I would look the part as well.
So much to read
I want to read more of Western authors, where they talk about cultural set-ups. I also want to read books of some contemporary Indian English writers. The only contemporary Indian writer I have read is Chetan Bhagat, and I loved his books.
