Jackky Bhagnani is a happy young man. His 'Party Abhi Baaki Hai' jig is a hit and response for number of other songs from his upcoming flick F.A.L.T.U is unanimously good as well.

"When dad (Vashu Bhagnani) used to make films with other stars, I always wondered why he was so conscious about the music of his films. He always said that he didn't just want good music, he wanted hit music. Now with response to 'Party Abhi Baaki Hai', I understand where he was coming from. Suddenly I can see how the film has found widespread attention for itself. I am elated", says Jackky.

Was he as elated though when his film was titled F.A.L.T.U? Wasn't he ever apprehensive about the vibes that this title may throw, considering its literal meaning?

"I won't deny that there was apprehension but it was more from my dad than me", Jackky says with a straight face, "In fact many of his friends also advised him to change the title as they felt that it would go against the film. I was not convinced with the argument though and wanted F.A.L.T.U. for the film. I knew it would stick with the audience. Today, you can see that for yourselves."

One wonders though whether it was the 3 Idiots effect. Did Jackky actually feel that if Aamir could pull off his 'idiot' saga, he could be a 'faltu' himself and do his own bit too?

"Arrey kahan compare kar rahe ho", Jackky says with mock horror, "Of course you can't deny the fact that when Aamir does a 3 Idiots, it is called cool so yes, it does give you a confidence that F.A.L.T.U. would be accepted as well. My whole challenge was that 'faltu' had to be my 'idiot' in its own small way."

He is quick to express caution though lest any undue comparisons are made between the two films due to the titles.

"See, at the end of it all, a film should be good. It should not be a proposal. Usske baad aap title kuch bhi rakh lo, you can call it F.A.L.T.U., 3 Idiots or Kaminey, the end game is to have a script as a hero. Today's audience is fine with whatever title you give them as long as you can have the right content to back it up."

Now that F.A.L.T.U. is exuding the right vibes and creating a positive buzz, Jackky is happy to see that audience is receptive when it comes to an entirely new cast (with debutant Puja Gupta), a new director (Remo) and relatively new composers (Sachin and Jigar) on board.

"Woh zamaana gaya when your film would work only if you are star", says Jackky, "On the other hand, you would be a fool to think that if you are a newcomer then just by looking good and your film boasting of good locations, songs and costumes, you would get your audience. What is of utmost importance is to be genuine in story telling. Rest everything follows. F.A.L.T.U. is about being an underdog and if that reflects in my personal life as well then guess what, I am proud to be a 'faltu'."
