Week of July 19th

Tauji and Taiji fix their orphan niece Prarthana's marriage with Akshay Thakral. Prarthana's cousin Siddhi comes from London and they have a discussion about arranged vs love marriage and joint family vs nuclear family. After a dinner at the Thakral's, Prathna's family leaves; a big argument happens in Thakral family over the issue that these dinners and rasms are useless. Prathna overhears this.
Prarthana has high expectations of living in a joint family and good in laws. Siddhi's parents Shiv and Kajal also come down from London. Akshay calls up model sister Sanskriti who is busy at a photo-shoot with her boyfriend Rajeev to drop Prathna's bridal dress at her place. Since she's busy he asks his friend Gyan. There Siddhi plays a prank on Gyan and their love-hate chemistry develops from there onwards. At the marriage, San's cozy behavior with her boyfriend Rajeev raises eyebrows of many guests. This creates an argument b/w Su n San which Tauji overhears. Tauji feels tension between Thakrals after hearing arguments between them. Gyan and Siddhi grow closer. Everyone is surprised when he stops the marriage. All are confused as to what is happening. Finally Tauji agrees under pressure. The marriage concludes. Gyan expresses his feeling in form of a ring and gives it to Siddhi. As Prarthana is about to enter the Thakral house, Su refuses to do her Grih pravesh for her own reasons.

Week of July 26th

Finally Su comes out and does Prarthana's grihpravesh. Siddhi is in her dilemma of what to do with Gyan's proposal. Gyan gives Sid a deadline till 2 pm to reply to his proposal. Tauji gets the feeling that Prarthana is not happy in her house and so all of them call her up, but Prarthana hides the truth. Siddhi decides to answer Gyan b4 the deadline but when she reaches his place she realises that he also lives in a joint family, which she hates. Gyan's family showers Sid with love which irritates her. Siddhi tells him as she can't adjust in a joint family it's the end of their relation. Siddhi asks her parents that she wants to move back to London. Baldev senses Gyan's tension. Prarthana learns Sans and Rajeev are in a live-in reln. The family get angry at Prath when she tries to interfere in everyone's life in the house and Akshay urges her to stay away from others' life. Prath-Sid confide in each other at a resteraunt abt their lives. They then see Rio with some girls at a pub.

Week of Aug 2nd

Prarthana is in a mess and tells everything to Su, which ends up in an argument between Su and Rio. Gyan gives Prarthana a box for Siddhi. Siddhi and the family decide to go to the Thakrals to say bye b4 she leaves. Prarthana gives Siddhi the gift which has a letter that tells Siddhi about the feeling Gyan has for her. While they are there, they find that Su has cut her wrist. Rio is blamed for Su's condition. Su shares all her miseries of life to Prath. Tauji overhears the Thakrals fighting and he takes Prarthana away from Akshay. Prarthana and Aksh are sad being away from each other.

Week of Aug 9th

Akshay apologizes to Tauji. Akshay agrees to Tauji's condition that he n Prath will have to stay separate from his family. Akshay tells Rio and others that he is going to leave the house and stay separately with Prarthana. Everybody except Su is against his idea. Akshay takes Prarthana to their new home. Gyan sadly agrees to get married according to his family's wishes. Sans gets into truble at a wild party with drugs which ends up with Victor, Mrs. D's son, getting shot n killed and the police arrive.

Week of Aug 16th

None of the Thakrals come to help them except Prath and Aksh. The rest of the family come and are only concerned abt their reputation and lie to the media abt what happened. Prarthana criticizes Thakral family and is adamant to stay in Thakral house. Prarthana later comes to know Victor was Mrs. D's son.
