Meri Doli Tere Angana revolves around this simple orphan girl Simran(Priyamvada Sawant), who belongs to a very traditional Punjabi family. Simran obeys the wishes of her uncle and aunt who have brought her up. She settles for an arranged marriage, but on the day of wedding, her husband Ruhaan(Gaurav Khanna) reveals his love for someone else (Suhana played by Mansi Deshmukh).
