Postby fiza on Mon May 09, 2011 9:28 am

Two others severely thrashed

A man who was admitted to a de-addiction center was beaten to death and two other patients severely thrashed by a doctor and two male nurses of the center in Shahbad Dairy area in Outer Delhi on Saturday night. The accused in a bid to destroy the evidence later dumped the body in the nearby forest area.

On Sunday, the kin of the deceased approached the police following which an FIR was registered and the accused doctor arrested. DCP (Outer Delhi), Bhola Shankar Jaiswal said that doctor was identified as Sunil Dabas while the other two are on the run.

"The deceased identified as Manjeet, a resident of Kutubgarh, was admitted to the de-addiction centre (Bhavisya Nasha Mukti and Purnvaas Kendra) along with two others a month ago," Jaiswal said.

The brother of the deceased, Ajay Rana, said that when they had gone to meet Manjeet, the staff told them that he had run away a night before. "But other patients told us that Manjeet was killed by doctor after which we went to nearby area in search of his body. We found it near a lake," said Rana.
