Defending champion Kim Clijsters reached the fourth round of the Australian Open!

Kim Clijsters of Belgium beauty is putting all her efforts to make its great at the Australian Open again. It is known that last year Australia won the Grand Slam Clijsters himself and trying to best defend the title.

Defeating Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova in straight sets on Friday, Clijsters reached the fourth round of Australian Open. She edged close to the first set before running away with the second to win 6-3, 6-2 on Hisense Arena.

It was the first match in Belgian secondary to Melbourne Park's courts since Nadia Petrova crisis two years ago and lost 6-0, 6-1 in 52 minutes, when the heaviest defeat in a Grand Slam. "I wanted to play well enough to really concentrate and not let it happen again," she said on Friday. "I think I have a little more focus."

Clijsters was not at her best against Hantuchova, whom she met recently in Brisbane two weeks ago, when hip injury forced her to retreat from their semifinal. The match was closer than the groove suggested Hantuchova with missing many chances to pressure on the defending champion with a few simple mistakes.

11th seeded Belgian accepted she plays her best tennis, but he said, to fight all the way. It will next play Li Na, who beat Anabel Medina Garrigues. We wish her all the best in this year's Australian Open journey!
