LAHORE: With an aim of promoting cultural activities, Faiz Ghar is launching dance and music classes at its premises in Model Town.
Muneeza Hashmi told Daily Times that the classes were being launched to provide the youth with an opportunity to learn dance and music, which is very important for Pakistan considering the current circumstances. She said, “This is for nourishment of the soul. We ought to give opportunities to our youth to learn something soft and soul-satiating - this is the entire point behind these classes. Art, music and culture need to be promoted in our society,”
she said.
The administration of Faiz Ghar told Daily Times that piano and violin classes will commence first for which participants will be divided into groups on the basis of age, skill and experience. The slogan for the music classes reads, “Play, read, write music”. The classes will satiate the taste of those who want to learn music but cannot find a proper place they can learn it in. Apart from music classes, Faiz Ghar is also starting dance classes in association with the celebrated teacher, musician and dancer Bina Jawad.
Muneeza mentioned that Faiz Ghar eventually aims to arrange some performances on the basis of these classes. “After learning an art, one wants to show it. For this purpose, if we get a good response, we will arrange some performances of these students at Faiz Ghar,” she said. The address for Faiz Ghar is
