On 9th February 2008, the results were announced. R.K Mishra (Bangalore) won the contest against Devang Nanavati (Ahmedabad) with more number of votes and a sharp lead of 6-1 from the Jury of 7 judges. He was crowned as Lead India "Mahanayak" from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the ex-president of India.
Apart from it "Lead India Video Contest" was also held. And the winners were declared as Jyotsna Khatry, Ashwani Thakur, Achin jain as 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively. Awards declared at
