US based auto giant Ford Motors has launched its compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Ford EcoSport today at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Ford Ecosport is expected to appear as a comprehensive package that consists of distinctive front to rear appearance, generous and class-leading interiors and decent fuel efficiency along with an estimated killer price of INR 7lakh to 9 Lakh.

The compact monster is expected to don a 1.5L DuraTorq diesel power-train and a lower displacement of 1.0 litre Ecoboost petrol under its elevated bonnet. Both the trims will be mated with 5-speed manual gearbox. It will be initially be presented in single diesel variant with different trims available that will feature more advanced elements. The Ford EcoSport can have 16-inch or bigger 17-inch alloy wheels fitted as standard along with some latest equipments in the interiors. Being a Ford product, the safety concerns will also addressed with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) function combined with adequate airbags.

Hey anks this mini SUV had shocked most of the people in the Auto Expo earlier people were not getting any strong competitor against Mahindra XUV500 but after seeing this mini suv people are sure that this will be the strong rival of XUV500. Very stylish and trendy Ford Ecosport is affixed with 1liter 3 cylinder petrol engine delivering 120ps power and 170Nm torque with super low Co2 emission levels of 140g/km in India. The strong point of this SUV is its price range and mileage which is around 14to 19 kmpl.

Hi all
Here is one update news that this ford ecosport will be coming near Diwali but I think that this car will not be getting good opening as mahindra XUV500 had got because its compact mini suv with seating capacity of 5 people only.
