After years of being (wrongly) sidelined, Genelia D'Souza is finally heaving a sigh of relief. Her recent release FORCE has fetched her that much awaited recognition, something that had gone missing during last three years despite a huge success like JAANE TU YA JAANE NA. However now she is bouncing back with as many as three of her films all set to arrive next year. They are ROCK THE SHAADI (with Abhay Deol), TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA (with Riteish Deshmukh) and IT'S MY LIFE (with Harman Baweja).
Says a friend of the actress, "After her Imran Khan starrer romcom hit the bulls' eye, sky was the limit for her. However her LIFE PARTNER was first delayed and then came face-to-face with KAMINEY, hence turning out to be just a moderate success. Then she signed CHANCE PE DANCE to bail out Shahid Kapoor who was left without a heroine when Jiah Khan was asked to leave. The film hardly showcased what she is capable of doing. Worse, her big ticket film HOOK YA CROOK with John Abraham never saw the light of the day. Those were real stressful days for her but she still managed to keep her chin up."
Thankfully for her, there were ample projects down South that not just allowed her to be engaged in work but also ensured that she enjoyed some well deserved success and recognition. Also, she stays on to be one of those fortunate personalities who have defied all laws of ageing and have continued to look the same as they were almost a decade back.
