The SLC-BCCI tussle: will they, won't they? It was looking like they won't. But the final update tells us a compromise has been reached and this club cricket carnival will now finally lose their star Sri Lankan players to National duty on May 18.
The Kochi Tuskers team uniform: Orange and purple are 2 colors that don't belong together on a cricket jersey.. or anywhere for that matter ! (It is however a strangely memorable uniform, that stays etched in your mind long after the game is over!)
Eden Gardens at the start of IPL4: Angry and resentful at the tournament itself for not having included the legend called Sourav Ganguly. And what is a game at the garden of Eden, without Adams and their Madams packing it to full capacity!?
My tribe has flourished in the IPL
The Pathan brothers: 4 million dollars went to the Pathan family from the Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders purses. For both the brothers, it really sucks.. when they are yet to justify the big bucks!
The new Owners 'Throne' v slugging it out, in the Dug-out: We're missing Mrs Ambani having tea with the boys in Dug-out zone or Ms Zinta doling out big cheers or and bear hugs near it! The owners throne, just doesn't incite or excite!
Sreesanth: before the tourney: king of Kochi. Orange tiger striped hair and all. 2 weeks later: this tiger of Kochi is warming the dugout bench. Meow!
Mrs Graeme smith-to-be: now you see her now you don't.. But mostly you don't! Also what you definitely don't see these days.. are runs off Mr Smiths bat!
Symmonds-bhajji fireworks.. or lack of them! So much was made of them being together in the same team. There has been not a spark, nor a bark, not a yelp or scream for help.. In fact, not even a whimper!
Too many cheers spoil the froth: There are cheerleaders on field and then there are the 'cheer queens' there as well.. and lets not forget there are cheerleaders in the studio too! (Hmmm! Tough call.. but if I were to pick: the cheerleaders on field win. Hands down.)
Sourav Ganguly: can't help it! He is being missed. And now with the Sri Lankans staying on for most of the IPL, for Dada lovers, seeing him this time will remain a Pipe dream. Had the "comeback king" played, I am sure he would have silenced many of his critics!

The long and trying schedule: 74 games. 50 days 12 venues. And this after an equally long World Cup schedule. Halfway through and it will be tough to keep track who has played who, where and how many times!
The Spidey Cam: Unlike spiderman, this one can't do whatever a spider can! Much as we enjoy a birds eye view of the game, its hovering presence has had Sachin and some other players express a keen desire to swat it on occasion!
