Characters:

Sanjay Dutt: Vikram An M.I. officer, Vikram is sent to the valley on a confidential, dangerous and investigative mission. Kashmir is going to burn; and he has to stop it. To succeed, he has to expose the politics of power single-handedly and against all odds. Will he?

Bipasha Basu: Aziza Strong minded, intuitive and aggressive. Aziza has been the champion of the Azad Kashmir movement since she was six. Whilst investigating an attack on her mentor Haji (Anupam Kher), she meets Gul Jehangir, and together they uncover some brutal remains from the past, which land her in a life threatening situation. Will Aziza accomplish what she set out to achieve or will her priorities change along the way? Anything is possible in Kashmir!

Kunal Kapoor: Aatif Once a militant, now a youth leader, Aatif's story is that of many Kashmiri's today. In 1990 most youths took to arms, and trained in Pakistan to fight for Azad Kashmir. Around the turn of the century, they realized that the fight for freedom was hijacked by foreign mercenaries, politicians and Intel officers from around the world. Today people like Aatif are disillusioned and angry. They are a generation that fought for what they Believed in and some even died for their belief; unfortunately for them the biggest casualty in this war is the common Kashmiri. Aatif wants to see Kashmir free, but he wants to fight in his own unconventional manner. Will he achieve his dream or will he and his dream of Azad Kashmir be buried in the graves of Kashmir, with thousands of others?

Anupam Kher: Haji Haji has been fighting for Azad Kashmir for over two decades. Wily, astute and a people's person, Haji is on the payroll of both ISI and R.A.W. He is the most powerful separatist leader in the valley.

Synopsis

Kashmir...
Once known as a paradise on earth, it is now a playground for blood thirsty militants. A company is generating millions of unaccountable dollars that benefit all powers - from politicians and leaders to bureaucrats in the Indian and Pakistani intelligence. From high ranking army and police officers to the militants and their supporters, everyone gets a piece of the pie.

The Military Intelligence gets a whiff of a plot that is likely to disrupt and possibly paralyze Kashmir. Vikram is sent to investigate this highly confidential mission assuming the identity of Gul Jehangir. The same day that he lands in the valley, Haji, a top separatist leader, survives a blast. Is there a connection between the blast and the operation?

To solve this conundrum, Vikram teams up with Aziza, Haji's young, aggressive and outspoken protégé. The intensity of their beliefs and their will to survive against all odds creates a special bond between them. They embark together on a journey full of intrigue, suspicion, betrayal and danger, to uncover the truth.

What seems like a routine investigation ends up being an operation that will change the perspectives and ideologies of both Vikram and Aziza as it exposes the dirty secrets of a state's fight for freedom, the corrupt nexus of politicians, intelligence, militancy and the crucification of idealistic and passionate people. In such a scenario, are the bullet and the bomb the only solution?

Will wisdom prevail in the valley of flowers so that the common Kashmiri's are not sacrificed in the crossfire of politics? Will Vikram manage to restore peace and normalcy in the heaven turned hell?
