Loveguru Movie Review

Postby nahia on Tue Jul 21, 2009 3:47 am

A good show by debutant director Prashanth Raj who has selected a love triangle, lacing it with sentimental and comic sequences. With an interesting script and a good narrative, this one is for the family. While the first half is lively, the second half appears a bit stretched, with an unconvincing climax.

Film: Loveguru (Drama)
Cast: Tarun, Radhika Pandit, Sharan, Dilip Raj, Yagna Shetty
Direction: Prashanth Raj
Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
Critic’s Rating: ***

Review this movie

Priya (Radhika Pandit) marries her boss Abhi (Dilip Raj) not knowing that her colleague Pratham (Tarun) is in love with her. At her wedding reception, Pratham gives her a rose and announces in front of all that he loves her. But Priya and Abhi ignore the incident and try to be good to him. But he continues to pine for Priya, and, finally, quits his job much to Priya's dismay. When another woman enters his life, the heart-broken Pratham decides to start life afresh.

Radhika Pandit steals the show with her brilliant expressions, lively action and excellent dialogue delivery. Tarun and Dilip Raj are impressive. Sharan's comedy is a treat to watch. Joshuva Sridhar's music is good. Gnanamurthy's camerawork is commendable.
