The show revolves around a simple girl simran, who belongs to a very traditional punjabi family.

Simran is an orphan ,she has been brought up by her chacha-chachi, she chooses to go for an arranged marriage, as she believes what her chacha will choose for her will be the best. She gets married to Ruhaan, who belongs to one of the most affluent family in the city.

But life comes to a standstill when her husband tells her on the D-day that their wedding is a mistake, this brings Simran at a crossroad where she cant go back to her house, nor can she move on with what Ruhaan said.

Simran comes to know that Ruhaan was in love with someone else whom he believed was dead, but has now come to know that she is still alive.

But Simran being the traditional indian girl, decides to abide by her responsibilities as a wife, a daughter, a daughter in law of a prestigious family. She decides to fight against the shadow from her husband's past and get her husband back.

Its a struggle of a woman who is totally committed , believes in herself, its her strength that will stand by her through the difficult times...
