J.Thambi Ramaiah has recently made headlines, as he won National Award in the Best Supporting Actor (Male) category. He has won this National Award for his performance in the movie “Mynaa”. He himself is a Director, Actor, and Lyricist.
He has directed the films “Manu Needhi” and “Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan”. He has earlier acted in few films like “Manu Needhi”, “Oram Po”, and “Mandhira Punnagai” and so on.
On winning this recognition, Thambi Ramaiah said that, “For quite some time, I was facing defeats after defeats. The movie “Mynaa” has given new life to me. I would like to dedicate this National Award to Prabhu Solomon. This recognition has given me more encouragement to act even better. This has given extreme happiness to my Mother and my Wife, who was longing for something big to happen in my life for a longtime. At last, their happiness is my happiness”.
