Vidya, a young, illiterate village girl, marries rich Sagar Pratap Singh, the son of Thakur and joins his household. The drama focuses on the obstacles she faces in her marriage, starting when she discovers her husband has an immature mind, that of a nine-year old, due to an accident. After marriage, Sindura wants Vidya out of Sagar's house. Vidya and Sagar then goes to Singapore, where Sindura hires the Singaporian gansters to kidnap Sagar. Vidya takes Sagar to hospital for treatment, where Sagar recovers. Vidya is then arrested with drugs, so she returns to India. Sagar first doesn't recognize her but later does. Sindura then kills both Sagar and Vidya but eight months afterwards, Mahua gaves birth to Samrat. Rajeev then switches babies. Sindura then steals the baby from Rajeev and Sindoora thinks that her child. 21 years later, Sindura becames politician, and then Vidya reincarnated to Divya and Sagar reincarnated to a Amar. Now the story follows Divya.
