Salman Khan bagged the Best Actor Jury Award at an award function last night. Apparently the actor was expecting to win the Best Popular Actor Award which went to Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a source present at the award function, Salman Khan (for Dabangg) was the most deserving contender in the 'Popular' actor category. He was nominated alongside Shah Rukh Khan (for My Name Is Khan).

The actor was present backstage when the Jury Award and the Popular Awards were announced. Disappointed with the announcement, Salman refused to come on stage to receive his award.

However, brother Arbaaz Khan went on stage to receive the award on Salman's behalf. Arbaaz also spoke about Salman's presence at the venue yet absence on the stage in his thanksgiving speech. Sources also claim that an angry Salman refused to perform at the Awards Ceremony until the organizers coaxed him. Salman calmed down later and performed towards the end of the show.
