Postby fiza on Sat Mar 26, 2011 5:44 am

SA Chandrasekhar's upcoming release Sattapadi Kuttram has got green signal from the Madras High Court for its release. A petition was filed against the film at the High Court seeking to stop the movie release, as the film is related to politics.

A Chennai based lawyer had filed a petition claiming that Sattapadi Kuttram revolves around the current politics of the state. The movie has some objectionable scenes and dialogues, which hits out at a particular party. With the general assembly polls is around the corner, it violates the model code of conduct and it will have a direct bearing on the voters. Hence, the movie should be stopped from its release. However, the court has adjourned the hearing to March 29.

Sattappadi Kuttram is a remake of blockbuster Sattam Oru Iruttarai, which was directed by SA Chandrasekhar himself. The movie features Sathyaraj, Seeman, Vikranth and others in the key roles.
