Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Neha says, "Well…to be honest this acting thing happened out of the blue. I have been offered a few films in the past but I was never planning to step into acting and was busy doing my own thing on the music front when I got a call from director Rakesh Mehta. I heard the script but was still a bit unsure if I wanted to get into acting but I convinced myself to give it a shot as I felt the script was quite different and it also gave me a chance to work with some really good actors. I am happy I took the plunge."
Speaking about the film, Neha says, "The film is a black comedy and is a modern-age concept based film. It's about twists and turns in life and how it affects each of these 5 characters individually. None of the main characters are known to each other, every single character has a pre-dominant role and a thread leading them to a common climax in the film. I play a girl who comes to Mumbai to become an actor. The film happens in the course of one day and is set in Mumbai. It's a very fast-paced film"
The film is almost half-complete and the makers plan to release it sometime in August this year.
Meanwhile, on the music front, Neha also plans to release the second track from her album 'Tabaah' on the 6th of April. "Yes I am releasing the title track 'Tabaah' from my album 'Tabaah'. We are doing a live webcast of my concert on ArtistAloud.com where I would be performing with my band. I think it's a really cool idea to reach out to a much wider audience through the online web-cert medium."
