BANGALORE: India's Somdev Devvarman climbed one position to a career-best 70th position in the latest ATP rankings. The 26-year-old, who reached the quarterfinals of the Serbia Open in Belgrade last week, gained 45 points from the exercise.
The Indian Express - Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi - who pulled out of the ongoing Madrid Masters because Bhupathi was indisposed, remained in the number two position of the doubles team rankings.
The other Indian in the doubles fray, Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi moved up one place to the fifth position.
On the WTA Tour, Sania Mirza dropped one spot to the 77th position in the singles ranking and in the doubles the 24-year-old Hyderabadi held on to the 29th position.
