Two sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in Uttar Prade

FIROZABAD (UP) Two persons were sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each was also imposed on them by a local court here for murdering a 12-year-old boy.

Additional Sessions Judge B Kumar also awarded seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 on each for destroying evidence, assistant government counsel Piyush Kumar Chaturvedi said.

Both the sentence will run concurrently. According to prosecution, on October 25, 2003, Durupal was strangled to death by Sher Singh and Awadhesh.

The police had registered a case against Singh and Awadhesh and filed a chargesheet against them in the court.

The court after hearing the witness and on the basis of evidences produced by police held the duo guilty.
