I love Harry Potter,
I'm a huge fan of the books and movies.
But I don't think it deserves to be in the Best Picture category.
It does have a good meaning, good vs. evil, courage, friendship and trust,
but it's not enough to win the Best Picture award.
I think it's great that it was nominated for Best Visual Effects and Art Direction.
That's a high honor! Plus they deserved it
They have been nominated for Oscars multiple times! That's great!
Even though they might not be important to some of you, being nominated for Cinematography, Original Score and Special Effects is huge!
It's a major category! These categories make the movies what they are!
Without these things, it would not be as good as it was with them!
Cinematography gives the feel of a movie, it makes it look melancholy, like how the Deathly Hallows is.
Music is a HUGE thing! Without it, it wouldn't be as emotional!
Even Art Direction is big, without that, places like the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts, the forest scenes and locations would not happen.
So don't get mad if they don't make the Best Picture nomination list, they are still nominated for Oscars, and that is the highest honor out there.
I think that Deathly Hallows Part 2 could get nominations, but as I said, for maybe Visual Effects, Cinematography, Costume Design, or Art Direction, maybe a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Ralph Fiennes, I think he should've been nominated a while ago for his portrayal of Voldemort, but he really wasn't seen a lot in most of the Harry Potter movies, but I think he will be seen a lot in Part 2.
I definitely think they should win, they deserve it. The Harry Potter movies have gotten better through the years, and the acting has always been good.
But we'll see next year if the Academy nominates them again and for maybe more categories!
