Srinivas Kaushik makes his debut as a director on a positive note with this murder mystery. With good narration and a lively pace, he holds your Still from Yaaradu interest from the beginning to the end with excellent twists and turns.

Srinivas Kaushik makes his debut as a director on a positive note with this murder mystery. With good narration and a lively pace, he holds your interest from the beginning to the end with excellent twists and turns. With a script sans violence, the mysterious circumstances keep you on the edge of your seat. Another plus is the dense forest area in Uttara Kannada which makes for a good backdrop.

The mystery revolves around five classmates -- Viji, Ganesh, Sathisha, Raju and Ananda -- in Bheemanakuppe. They stay at a guest house run by Mary (Leelavathi) and Utthappa (Sadashiva rahmavar). Four of them are found murdered. Incidentally, Mary also loses her son John in a bus accident under mysterious circumstances. Inspector Pratap (Vinodraj) is sent to the Bheemanakuppe to solve the mystery. The needle of suspicion points to many including Viji (Suman Jadugar), Utthappa and Mary. But the climax is a real shocker when the murderer's identity is revealed. Yaaradu? (Who is it?) Leelavathi lives up to her reputation and has done an excellent job. Suman Jadugar shines. Vinodraj impresses. Ashwini does a neat job in her brief appearance. Music by G Akhil and camerawork by Nagesh Acharya are superb.
