Zombieland Movie Review

Postby huma on Wed Feb 03, 2010 2:06 pm

Film: Zombieland
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin
Genre: Action
Direction: Ruben Fleischer
Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes

Story: The United States of America has metamorphosed into the United States of Zombies. Young Columbus wants to make his way to his hometown in Ohio, across this dangerous wasteland, overrun by the undead. Naturally, he needs help: Talahassee, the sharp-shooting zombie killer.

Movie Review: This one's actually a zany little comedy that packs in so much fun, it makes you literally squeal in places. Of course, you begin expecting a run-of-the-mill C-grade Hollywood horror flick, but soon realise there's more bang for your buck in these crazy encounters with post mad cow disease humans who `have the munchies' and just love to sink their teeth in a `manwich'.

Add to this, the crackling chemistry between our boy-hero, Jason Eisenberg and the cowboy-ish zombie-buster, Woody Harrelson and you have a jolly good buddy movie. But, hey, it ain't the boys alone who make a beeline for your attention. There's a couple of balsy girls too, wicked Wichita (Emma Stone) and her still more wicked kid sister, Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) who not only provide the `it' factor with their sizzling crookedness, they end up creating something that comes closest to family for our emotionally challenged boys. Now how cute is that!

Time to grab your own munchies and watch the spoofy blood-splattered munching on screen.
